AMSI 2020 Annual Lecture: Learning through Life – Sir Michael Palin

The Arts and Media School Islington Trust (AMSI) and A New Direction invite you to attend the AMSI 2020 annual lecture delivered by Sir Michael Palin on April 1 at 6.30pm.

With a distinguished career ranging from film, television, comedy, travel documentary, journalism, writing, activism and arts and culture – we are honoured to host such an illustrious speaker.

Learning through Life: Sir Michael Palin will talk about his varied and wide-ranging life, sharing his huge range of skills, his approach to his work and the mindsets involved in the many facets of his career. He will share his relationship to arts and culture, his activism and talk through his curiosity, inquisitiveness, and the many adventures he has in many different parts of the world through his travels. From Monty Python to his recent visit to North Korea – this is an evening with an extra-ordinary individual that cannot be missed.

The event is a fundraiser for the AMSI Trust to raise money for a new digital music suite for KS3 and KS4 students.

Sir Michael will follow a list of distinguished keynote annual lectures including Baroness Estelle Morris, Grayson Perry CBE, Sir Tim Brighouse, Sir Matthew Bourne, Sharon Ament and Andria Zafirakou MBE.

Door will open at 6pm. There will be a bar and raffle as part of the evening.
