TAKE ACTION NOW

We recognise that parents are keen to support all schools over the issue of funding which has recently been in the media.

HOW THIS AFFECTS ARTS & MEDIA SCHOOL ISLINGTON

We are therefore forwarding this email to the community so that you can decide whether or not you would like to sign the petition as I am sure that you are all aware of the implications for funding in London schools based on the National Funding formula.

“I hope you will feel able to sign and support the Fair Funding for All Schools petition which is being sent to the Secretary of State for Education during this consultation period. I know you will all be aware of the difficulties faced by governing boards and headteachers, all of whom will be finding it difficult to set a budget which conforms with the new funding formula and the situation is due to get worse over the next two years.

The FFfAS petition is being organised by a small group of parents who are adamant that re-distribution of education funding inevitably fails to meet the needs of many schools. It is not a campaign to benefit London schools, it is a nationwide campaign to secure adequate funding for all schools so please sign this petition and pass on to as many friends, colleagues, parents as you know.”
