We were delighted, once again, to welcome to our school, local senior citizens for a Christmas meal and entertainment from our students. Also attended by the Mayor of Islington, our canteen staff cooked a delicious traditional Christmas roast with all the trimmings.
We have been celebrating Christmas with local pensioners each year now for the last 15 years and it is wonderful for our students to serve the meal and perform as Respect is one of the four cornerstones of our community.
After the meal, our year 10 dance students put on a special performance of their dance, ‘Bad’ and two of our year 8 students performed a piece of music.
It was a great day which also coincided with Christmas Jumper Day on which a lot of our students and staff wore Christmas Jumpers to raise money for Save the Children. Merry Christmas everyone!
