We hope that you and your families are well. As we approach the end of this unusual half term, I am writing to inform you about some changes with our Remote Learning Offer that we will be piloting from Monday 8th February.
We have been pleased with the level of engagement from a majority of our students and are happy to report improvements with engagement in all years over the last fortnight which has resulted in an increased amount of praise letters being sent home.
Changes from Monday 8th February:
- Students must register as normal through their live Registration link (No change)
- Students must attend the start of each lesson through a live Google Meet; the code will be shared with the students via Google Classroom.
- Once the students have registered, the teacher will direct them to the appropriate tasks. Please note we continue to support our teachers to consider which approaches are best suited to the content they are teaching and the age of their pupils; this may not mean a complete live lesson.
- You will be informed of any absences to lessons via a text message from the school.
As a reminder, our school is closed for INSET on Friday 12th February so there will not be any remote learning. We return to school with remote learning on 22nd February. We do not yet have details about when schools will reopen, but anticipate an update from the Government on 22nd February.
If you have any questions relating to this matter or require any additional information, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
